The now infamous Limerick Christmas tree on the Shannon river, still has not been removed from the water.

The sad story, is that the tree has never been removed from the water, there was rumors of keeping it for Paddy's day ( coloring it in green ), but it toppled down during the high tides (I heard there was a failure on one of the pump maintaining water out of the foats), and since the council has not been able to removed it.
